About Hayley
Hayley Day has been a community journalist for over a decade. She joined The Daily News in 2021 as a reporter, before becoming city editor and now local news editor. She has worked at The Journal of the San Juan Islands on the Washington state archipelago, and previously wrote about culture and entertainment for Cincinnati, Ohio publications, including the city’s only daily newspaper and its largest alternative weekly. Day is a board member of The Downtowners, a nonprofit supporting downtown Longview businesses, and enjoys hiking with her dog Miley when not at work.
