About Ephraim

Ephraim and Joyce Tumusiime are the overseers of a church planting movement in Uganda of 85 churches with outreach in Rwanda, Congo and South Sudan. Ephraim is also the executive director of Touch Africa Now, a Ugandan based NGO, as well as president of DOVE Uganda Children’s Fund (DUCF.org), a US based non-profit of which Mark Schmutz serves as chair. DUCF sponsors over 250 children for school fees, a uniform, a nutritious meal each day, and basic health care. Our Rotary Club has partnered with them for the installation of several clean water projects, computer literacy, and most recently a latrine project in Yumbe, Uganda in the West Nile District for a school of 550 students. Ephraim is the proud father of five children and eleven grandchildren. Joyce has served over 20 years on the executive staff and faculty for Gayaza High School, the oldest girls’ boarding school in Uganda for students in grades 8-13 (Senior 1 to 6), founded in 1905. Ephraim and Joyce were married in August 2022 after the tragic loss of Ephraim’s first wife Jova to COVID. They had enjoyed over 40 years of marriage and family and ministry together in Uganda.
