About Steve
A Longview-Kelso native, I completed my undergraduate degree Washington State University followed by a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. After a year of training at the Portland VA Medical Center, I entered private practice in Longview and was licensed as a psychologist in 1992, later becoming board certified with the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. While continuing a general practice in child and adult psychotherapy, my specialty area is psychological and neuropsychological diagnostic assessment. I consult extensively with area medical providers, community agencies, lawyers, and the courts. I am also a consulting psychologist at St John Medical Center and serve as training director and consulting supervisor at Northwest Psychological Resources and several other local mental health clinics. My professional memberships include the American Psychological Association, American Academy of Neurology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Pacific Northwest Neuropsychological Society, and American College of Professional Neuropsychology. Personally, I am married with three adult children. My hobbies include fishing, boating, camping, photography, as well as wine education and production as a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators. I am also a musician, serving as principal violist of several local community and professional orchestras and string quartets.
