About Brad
Chief Brad Hannig, a 31-year fire service veteran, gained extensive experience with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, serving as a firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. His time with the busiest units and mentorship from top command officers shaped him into a respected fire service leader in Utah. Chief Hannig was instrumental in restructuring the county EMS, consolidating local fire departments, and adding a fire station in Logan. He held leadership roles in several committees, including Vice President of the Utah State Fire Chiefs Association and Chair of the Utah Bureau of EMS Operations Subcommittee. He holds a bachelor’s in Fire Administration and is pursuing a master’s in occupational safety and health. Chief Hannig has served as Fire Chief for Santa Clara/Ivins and Logan City Fire Departments and as Deputy Director for the Utah Communication Authority. A dedicated family man, he enjoys mountain biking, golfing, and spending time with his wife, four children, and five grandchildren.
