About Craig
Craig Walley received his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1985 from the University of Washington with a job offer from Longview Fibre Company. He began his career on July 7 of the same year. In 1988 he joined the Kamyr, Inc team in Glens Falls, New York as a process engineer, with a goal of obtaining a Professional Engineer license. In 1994 he became a professional engineer, registered in the State of Washington. He returned to the West Coast and the State of Washington as a Field Service Engineer. His career continues through a number of companies and roles that included engineering manager, project manager, an few industry changes including seven years in an oil refinery in Texas. In 2018 he joined WestRock in Tacoma as Engineering Manager and transferred to the Longview site as Technical Manager in 2024 following the closing of the Tacoma mill. In those 39 years he managed to get married, raise two children, a few other life changes, work or travel to 24 countries, 240 cities, and over 20 start-ups of heavy industrial chemical process units.
