2018-19 President’s Dinner Held at LCC on June 10th

Special entertainment was a very humorous, tongue-in-cheek video of Reed Hadley and Peter Isaacson (Don Cianci behind the camera) interviewing Club members regarding the past presidential term of John “pope” Paul and expectations of incoming Club President, Neil Zick.

The Rookie Rotarian Award was presented to Shawn Hooghkirk by one of last year’s two recipients, Jen Wills.

The Distinguished Rotarian Award for 2018-19 is Sarah Koss in recognition of her lifetime achievements and contributions to the Rotary Club of Longview. Sarah was not able to attend.

The Club Service Award was presented to John Bard by the 2017-18 recipient, Keith Larson. This award is the highest honor given to a Rotarian in recognition of his/her commitment and dedication through service to our community and the Rotary Club of Longview.

The Jim Torkko Ethics in Business Award was presented to Tom Barnes by Joe Amrine. This award recognizes a person who exhibits a consistent commitment to the ethical ideals of the Rotary Four Way Test in their business and profession.

Outgoing 2018-19 Club President, John Paul recognized Board members whose terms are expiring June 30 and summarized the many Club achievements and accomplishments over the past 12 months. Incoming Club President, Neil Zick recognized his new Board members and presented his goals and plans for the 2019-20 Rotary Year.

Thanks to Marnee, Alex and Cathy Barr for organizing and preparing the dinner festivities.
